First Vice President Investments

Rich began his real estate career in 2008 with CB Richard Ellis as part of the facilities management team on the Washington Mutual account. He later joined Bentall Kennedy as part of the property management team overseeing the operations at the US Bank Centre and Century Square buildings before transitioning to his current role at Marcus & Millichap in 2013. As an investment sales broker, Rich primarily focuses on advising private capital clients in the operation, acquisition and disposition of multifamily investment properties. He has coordinated several 1031 exchanges for his clients transitioning from apartments to higher yielding and less management intensive investments. In 2015, Rich was accepted to the University of Washington’s Commercial Real Estate Program and expanded his area of expertise to include land entitlement and development.

A native of the Northwest, Rich was born and raised in Portland and received his bachelor’s degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla. He is an avid runner having competed in dozens of races including numerous half-marathons and two marathons. He lives in Shoreline with his wife and children
